Warm welcoming environment. The smell inside is always amazing. Haircut was great. I would recommend.
Unfortunately I had a bad experience here. I recently moved to minot form Phoenix and was trying to find a salon that fit me, I saw good reviews on MBS and thought i'd give it a try. I have been bleaching my hair for about 8 months now and I was planning to go back to my natural red color for fear of a not as well experienced stylist doing such a extreme service and wanting to save the integrity of my hair. The stylist told me not to worry that she could easily bleach my hair with no damage, leaving me under the impression she does this a lot... wrong my hair is about five different tones, blue, yellow, grey, brassy, and orange. She only toned the very top of my head leaving the bottom and underneath yellow and uneven, she also cut my hair, she never sectioned it and never even put the scissors to the front half of my hair. I have never had such a terrible experience. I will be looking else where to salvage what is left of my hair and go back to my original plan of my natural color.
I have been going to MBS for years and I have always been more than happy with my hair! The stylits are continuously going to training seminars to stay up with current trends and provide the best service for their clients! I HIGHLY recommend scheduleing an appointment at MBS!
BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!! This has got to be the worst salon ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been to many Aveda salon across the US and this is the only one that does not comprehend how to do regular simple highlights with lowlights. So they bring me back to fix it and make me look like I dipped the front part of my head in bleach since the front is the only place these idiots put highlights the rest were all dark lowlights. While this is the cheapest Aveda Salon I have been to it is the worst. I suggest that you pay the extra money and go to a salon that takes pride in their work as well as their customers. I'm now going to another salon to get this fixed and hopefully they know how to do highlights with lowlight contrasts. The best advice I can give you if you are accustomed to a normal Aveda salon is to not waste your time because MBS is not even in the same league as the real Aveda salons like Pyure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
New to town and was very skeptical on finding a salon that would put me at ease. I saw good reviews for MBS and decided to give it a try. It was the WORST decision of my life and I would never recommend anyone to go their. I mentioned several times I did not want my hair cut more than an inch, they went cut crazy. I'm now unable to put it in a pony tail, I also asked for high-lights which I've been blonde before... these high-lights shouldn't even be under that category. They are a mess.. they look nothing compared to blonde. Needless to say, I walked out crying. The only positive outcome of this experience was only being charged for the high lights. I'm beyond disappointed in this salon.. the good reviews mislead me completely. If you are thinking of going here, make sure you think twice.
