I currently rent a house from 1st Minot Management and I don't understand why this company has terrible reviews. I believe it has to be a result of upset tenants that feel entitled even know they trash their rentals skip out on rents and are caught doing illegal activities. My experience has been nothing but awesome. The people in the office are extremely friendly and Not like smile in your your face to get you to rent and then switch up but they are genuine honest people. I was told that the company changed ownership or management a while back and unfortunately I feel like maybe the majority of these reviews come from a different time. The New staff Rocks! I am one of those very persistent finicky people who can be a bit overly involved at times and their response to me has been nothing less then welcoming. Not to mention I have a special needs son and they are always so patient and kind to him when we visit the office. This company is Section 8 friendly and anyone who knows anything about federal housing inspections.... Knows that They can be very strict and petty. 1st Minot Management has budget friendly homes that meet those strict federal standards and they seriously have housing for everyone in all price ranges. I love my house its older but its in great shape ! Before I found this house I looked at other property's that were not for me but this house was perfect for my family and at a great price!
For anyone who doubts this company's awesome ability to provide clean safe housing at a good price based on the reviews please look for Yourself and give this newer staff a chance to help you find a place. They have a large selection and an awesome incentive program for some of the properties. The best way to find out everything that they offer is to visit there office yourself and make your own judgment call. This company's negative reviews seriously do not match the service they provide. One of the ladies has even received an award !!!!!
We have rented from them for 2 years with really no issues. They have the best late rent policy of any other management company in Minot. The office staff has always been nice and helpful with us. And fixed things or sent maintenance out if we had any issues. Sometimes it takes a couple days for minor stuff, but their usually pretty fast.
A lot of the bad reviews are for things that are due to the property owners neglect not the office.
But personally we haven't had any problems or complaints with First Minot. And I would recommend them and continue to rent with them
I own a home and have been using 1st Minot Management for a good amount of time. I feel that they always do the right thing by me and I truly feel they have supplied only qualified tenants for my property. I am not sure why they are getting such a bad reputation on here but I have used two other management companies in the past and it was a complete nightmare. I was stationed in Minot and now live in New York and I feel completely comfortable with the way my property is being managed. Every time I had a question about a bill or a monthly statement they answered me almost immediately. Please keep up the good work, because they are the only good property manager I have worked with in the past 6 years.
Literally the worst experience we have EVER had. From a landlord and military family perspective: Having to rely on a company due to a move across the country we expected more which is why we paid them 10% a month to take care of things. Never returned phone calls, rent was usually late, repairs were overpriced and sometimes didn't even fix the issue, rude managers everywhere, and worst part about it, Savannah said our new home is was in great condition when she went there. A month later, our new tenants walked in and the place was TRASHED!!!!!!!!!!! They tried getting out of fixing things, still haven't fixed things months later and that tenant ended up paying over $3,000 in repairs including brand new carpeting throughout the entire home that was only 3 years old, again after we were promised the home was looking great and ready for new tenants. The carpets were stained, dog pee everywhere, holes everywhere, we cried just seeing the damage done, the money taken, and the promises broken all from a company who PROMISED these were good, reliable, trustworthy, clean tenants. NEVER EVER EVER EVER use this company save your money and rent privately!!!! If we could give them negative stars we would do just that. Worst year of our lives.
Who ever answered the phone was nice and non judgemental I have had some issues in my past but never felt unwelcomed when being honest about them. I thought the places were going to be bad because of the low prices but they have some cool places. It surprised me. I have a family member who rents with them and they said they have no issues.
