I purchased a shirt from the store for an specific occasion. That night when I had gotton home (I live three hours away from the store) I realized that the sensor tag was still on the shirt. I called the store the next day to let them know what had happened and to see what they could do for me to make it right. The lady I spoke to acted like she really didn't care and told me I'd have to send it to them in the mail and they would take the sensor tag off and send it back to me. Like I said before because I bought the shirt for a specific occasion that didn't work for me, she took my number and said she'd have her manager call me by the next day. As I waited and waited for someone to call me I called around and found a store 35 miles from where I live that told me if I brought the shirt in with the receipt they will remove the tag for me. When I hadn't heard back from American eagle I called again and was told the only thing they could do for me was have me mail it to them which again doesn't work for me. So now I will have to drive 70 miles round trip to get the sensor tag removed so I can wear the shirt I planned on wearing. I will have to waste my time and my gas which isn't cheap on a trip that is completely unnecessary. I've worked in retail and if anything like this happened we would do anything to make it right to ensure that that customer was happy and knew that we cared. Thank you American eagle for your very very poor customer service I will never shop at your store again which you probably don't care because your a bunch of corporate assholes. If I could give this place negative 10 stars I would.
A blonde employee there made my experience horrific. Customers do not have to include their email, and she rudely forced me to create an account there. She was not friendly nor polite, simply unpleasant. I won’t step foot inside the Minot ND American Eagle store ever again.
