I’ve also had problems with tool rental as their system was down, it took 30 minutes to get it straightened out. About 5 days later I get an email saying the item was never returned when I had the rental back with in an hour of checking it out. Shortly after I received a phone call stating there was an issue and I would need to come to the store to straighten it out. I called back the next day and they claimed it had been handled. Just an all around blah experience.
I believe they may be understaffed.
In parking lot as I type. Just bought a few hundred bucks worth of electrical stuff. Wanted to post about "Jimbo". AWESOME AND VERY HELPFUL. Saved me a bunch of money. Offered alternate suggestion that resulted in saving us money and enabling a much better home generator installation. Came out to the parking lot as we were loading up and even gave us some more essential information. This is the definition of AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE. Many thanks.
I do a LOT of contract work so I will be returning, I just hope my experiences improve as time progresses and I hope others have had and continue to have better experiences than I have!
I have also had to personally load large amounts of building material myself after being told an associate would help. Said associate never showed.
If it wasn’t for the kind associates I’d be inclined to give them a lower rating. However, one associate in particular had a problem counting material. I was at the check out for over an hour as he had to recount my materials a total of four times. He was a short, rather flamboyant fellah, a nice guy but had no basic skills to handle counting a large amount of lumber.
90% of the time I call they do not answer, if they direct me to a floor associate I am usuall rerouted back to the operator and I’m on hold for 5 - 10 minutes or more. In fact today I called to get a quote on a building package, was on hold for over 5 minutes, and finally hung up. I will be going to menards instead.
we were well taken care of by a very competent assistant manager. I give the experience 5 stars.
Ordered closet doors to be shipped to my house. A week later they processed order and shipped them from New York. Its been 2 more weeks still waiting. Tracking shows there in there in Bismarck. That's been 4 days ago. Said was going to be delivered today but tracking shows there still sitting in Bismarck. Over 3 weeks to get a simple closet door is ridiculous. Will never order or buy anything from Home Depot again!
