We had an awesome time at the fair this year!! Lots of good food and fun things to do!
Saw Jeff Dunham. Great show. Parking though sucked. Getting in easy enough. Leaving, total nightmare. Would suggest limiting each exit to its own departing direction.
Went to see Jeff Dunham. Parking was a nightmare. Shuttle bus was inconvenient so walked to location. Was not a short walk since the handicap parking area was extremely large. Too many people crammed into too small an area. Saw several people injured due to crowding. Jeff Dunham was sold out which also made getting into arena difficult. His show was very good but if you can see him somewhere else would recommend going there instead. Seats were very uncomfortable. Also don't understand why ticket cost so much and they were soliciting for more donations to keep the Hostefest going. Looked to me there was plenty of money coming in.
Huge building with many different rooms. Difficult to figure out what door to enter and where to go once inside. This building accommodates large crowds so nothing fancy here. Keep note of the drinking fountains if you find one because they are few and far between.
The annual State Fair certainly isn't the biggest, but the grounds are conducive for a wide range of activities and events. We actually like the activities and special events that take place at this facility OUTSIDE of the annual fair. The last weekend we were there we saw four separate events going on: a gun auction, an equestrian event, a craft fair and an antique show. Great fun at a great facility.
